Miss Nina,
Let me know when you need help. If I can get off of work, I will be right there. Maybe Ellie will want to come too. Can't wait to take classes from you again.
Libby White

so happy to hear of your new digs....I too am on the cusp of something new, just allow the energy to sink in and radiate throughout in it's own will glow!

How far do you have to move Nina?

This will be a great thing and for one reason not having to pay rent! But you will bathe in the beautiful log cabin and the lovely touches your father put on it. That's so wonderful! Like Kathy above said~how much further away? Will you be closer to your Mother? The memories of Firefly Road will I'm sure haunt you but they are a goodly chapter for you! I'm very excited for you! I cant wait to hear how things progress. Many hugs across the many miles Nina ♥

Tina M.

doing the happy dance for you! it's not the end of the horizon, just a new one to look at. don't i just wish!! can't wait to see!!

How thrilling!! Like a butterfly emerging. I would LOVE to take a workshop there; it looks inspiring, as are you. Best of warm wishes in your new journey.

That sounds like a wonderful place. I, too, have a studio in the basement/garage and I love it. When it's cold, it stays pretty warm and cozy. When it's hot, it stays around 75, which is perfect. I love being able to close the door and leave my mess downstairs. I think you'll like it too. Katie and I will be coming to Franklin again this year for the gem show and hope to see you there. :)

Erin Perry

How wonderful and fitting that you shall be somewhere that holds so much of your mom and dad. Take care of yourself during this time.

Nina, that is such an awesome space! I think you will be fantastically happy. Bring your memories in tangible things and your heart and all will be well.

change is electric and charming.

in so many ways this is wonderful news, especially that you will be surrounded by the love that your mama and daddy built into that home...

i am thrilled beyond words..

happi trails, m' you so x0x0x

Monika Schmid

That is wonderful news Nina!!! What an inspiring place to call home. The cabin looks amazing and I am sure it will be a wonderful haven for you. Good luck with the move and remodel and I look forward to seeing more of your new home. xoxo

Nilene Finn

Oh Nina! This is wonderful news indeed. I am very familiar with kickstarter and look forward to seeing your start up. So thrilled for you and those of us who might get a chance to spend time with you in your new studio! Count me in!

Jean Kirkland

Dearest Nina,
The cabin and surroundings look like you.
I am glad you can live there. I moved from Happy Valley Road after 35 years and the moving itself was difficult yet cleansing and I'm glad to be here now. I hope to physically see you sometime, maybe when something falls off the back of the moving truck, I'll catch it and find you. Love, Jean

Exciting changes, Nina! Once you decide to do something everything seems to fall into place. Wishing you all the best!

The cabin sounds enchanting. I hope you find happiness and inspiration in your new home.

Nina, if I were closer, I would help you move. I've had LOTS of experience in this area. Purging is one of the first things I do when a move is eminent. I see you've been doing that. My thoughts are with you in this exciting, lovely, yet slightly scary time. If I can contribute any ideas, all you have to do is email me.

Michele Unger

Good for you! Change is, mostly, good for us all. The harder it is to overcome the inertia, the more,it seems, we need it. I threw all caution to the wind and made a move (downsized, too) about 10 years ago and it was good. It's still good. It gets better each year. I wish that for you, too. New projects, new opportunities to share your knowledge, a new/old home that is full of your parents love....and the support of your darling boys. It sounds pretty darn good to me. So, good for you! Here's to your new adventure and may it be your own, sweet true north.

All the best to you Nina with this big adventure. 2013 is a year of big changes for me too.. so big that it is challenging but it is the time to dare

Tina Gilmore

Wishing you lots of love, luck and happiness xx

Jacky Mcfarlane

yay Nina, so excited for your new adventure. New beginnings how exciting. I will have to take out firefly Rd and put the cabin in my bucket list. New moves for me too, but not until maybe the end of the year, back to the country.
love you heaps

Red Sandlin

What a lovely blessing and gift . SO exciting for. I know the task of packing and moving is not an easy task. IT is coming across things in the packing...memories and then what to do with it. I am sure you will be inspired by it all. I know amazing things will come of this . So one day at a time....that is all one can do in moving ONWARD. Peace be with you in this journey.

Ruby Blue...

Change is exciting -- and exhausting. I wish you the best. The cabin itself is just breath taking! May great good fortune be your companion in this endeavor!

Wow, Estrella Nina! Following your star into a new place is such an amazing opportunity, and it sounds tailor made for you. Of course I wish you the best and will do what I can to help. As m'nanci wrote above - Happy Trails!

Judy Merrill-Smith

Wow Nina! I can feel your exhaustion and excitement. Our family moved 2000+ miles last year - perhaps one of the biggest surprises was how much help we received from unexpected sources, and I hope that happens for you, too. Can't wait to see that Kickstarter project. Sending you a big hug and lots of happy energy!

You can do it! If I can move back and forth from Pa. to Maine back to Pa. in three years, you can do this! I know that glazed feeling so well... Purging is exciting and freeing. Just think of the fresh, new things that are coming your way!

julie whitmore

The best possible move, what a generous and loving mamma you have. Much happiness and peace in your lovely new place, it looks like a true homestead!

Oh, Nina! I am SO HAPPY to hear that you will be moving into the home created by your parents, and a home with a space for hosting your very own personal workshops too!!! If I lived in your area, I would most certainly come out to help you with your move, being a 'logistics queen', and having experience moving TWO work offices into one new space - if I can move two offices I could most certainly help you organize your move ;)
Though I am also aware of how stressful moving can be, I know that this open a whole new chapter in your creative life and I am certain it will infuse the work you will create in the months to come. Looking forward to seeing the new landscape and the creativity inspired by it!!

go, go, go...what tales you will have to tell! Can't wait!

I don't know you, but your writing has such a sweet and wistful tone; I can tell you like and listen to the woods and the trees when they speak. Your new home looks lovely and you must post pics. The locale looks especially pretty. I so would love to live in a quiet place in the hills. Good Luck!

Carol Weiler

Be good to yourself during this exciting transition. Sounds like a wonderful opportunity

Exhausting I know, but you'll make this cabin someplace we'll all fall in love with, just as firefly road became a mythical place of beauty and magic for all of us who read about it. The studio for workshops will be incredible! Wish I were able to tote boxes for you dear one! xoxo Sharron

I think this will be a wonderful, energizing change for you, Nina. I imagine the beautiful art that will flow from that cabin and your new experiences. I for one can't wait to take classes there!

Ginger Davis Allman

I knew big things were coming for you. That's what all the darkness was about. Your soul knew that you needed this. What a wonderful adventure awaits you!

The new space sounds like heaven!! I wish for you all good things in your new adventure ~

Ooh, Nina, I am SOooo happy for you! Best wishes for all your projects. i know you will be successful.

I had a feeling that you might be moving sometime soon Nina. This sounds like it was just meant to be! The cabin looks and sounds like the perfect place for you.
I have a (tiny) home studio, and it is wonderful to be able to leave the mess and close the door and the end of the day. Also, the clearing-out of things....very cathartic in my opinion! I'm sure you won't miss a single thing you throw away, plus it leaves space for new treasures :)

Enjoy your new adventure, I can't wait to hear all about it. Take care. xo

Do you know how lucky you are? You know where you are going. Not to a strange place but to a place that will know you. A place that has room for you to breathe, a place for new beginnings. Wishing you all the best!

Kat Langford

Dearest Wandering Nina, I am sending you the visual symbol of soft gray wings to help you and your heart and soul make the move. The log cabin is so wonderful and you will have new woods to explore with beloved Walter. How many joys will you discover? Trust in the gleaning. Trust in the cleaning! New takes brave wings - I send you my strength on wings of prayer. May you be lifted and supported and I look forward to all your adventures. Much love.

You have been giving hints of this move on Instagram; so exciting to read all the details here. The log cabin sounds marvelous and perfect for you. As someone else commented, your home on Firefly Road has been a mythical place of beauty and magic to your readers and I know your new place will become one too. Best of luck with the move.

Angi eharis

Sending tons of aloha and strength to u during this lucky move! What a gift! Yes moving sucks and then it is over and u and walter are in a new piece of heaven, on a new journey! I am so going to take a class at your place, i think this year is gonna be alot of celebrating life! Aloha, angi in hana

Change is always difficult when you are comfortably nestled down. But change brings improvements and growth. I'm so happy the boys have been there to help you and Julie and I'm looking forward to helping you as well. Counting down the days.

change can be so many things -- the one thing it is for sure is an adventure. i wish you strength as you embark on this one.

hugs, erin

it seems to be such a wonderful new home in nature! you are so lucky Nina, that your new home came this way... best of luck with moving!
it will be lovely to see photos of your new home

Congrats and happy adventuring!! Must be something in the ether calling out...I have been 'gleaning' since January and carving out new studio space as well. Tiring and exhilarating all at once. I am excited in hopes of attending a class in your new 'homestead'!!!!
Missy from the bayou

Lorri Scott

I feel very positive about this move for you! I wish you had felt better when I visited and perhaps I could have helped you start the move. 'cest la vie. It all sounds exciting in spite of the work and I can hardly wait to see what you have in store with Kickstarter!!

How idyllic! It looks enchanting as well as inviting and with tons of character. The only thing that worries me is how isolated you will be? re you close to any towns, villages, cities. I hear you mention aloneness as one of the things you struggle with. You must have contact with people other than your workshops, so I wonder. Pardon my honesty, I just want you to find that special someone that you so deserve.

It sounds lovely. Good luck.

How exciting and yet how scary all at the same time. What a big, BIG adventure. I am wishing you the best and am so excited about the possibility of your teaching classes in your new art studio....what a grand idea!

Blessings to you as you start this new adventure!

This is such amazing news! Moving is always hard work and emotional, but I think you are going to be so happy in the end!
Kickstarter is a great idea to help support your new adventure. I think you will do well. I'll be checking in to see when you "kick off"!

How exciting to have a new adventure to embark upon. It does sound as if there will be much work involved getting into your new space, but this may be just what you need to make your life even more rewarding. Good luck and I can't wait to see what new things you have in store for us :)

I am so excited for you! Moves are always difficult, more so emotionally then physically. And the physical move, is hard work! I think this is just what you need. A cabin that belonged to your parents that you are now making into a home and an artistic space that is truly your own.
I wish for you (and Walter!) much happiness there.

Gosh, I am so happy for you. A lot of work, I know, but what a wonderful and economical opportunity. I can only imagine what inspired and inspiring narrative jewelry will flow from this new beginning. And the lovely posts and pictures to come. To be able to hold workshops there. How awesome! I, too, wish you and Walter much happiness there.

So glad you accepted your moms offer! The cabin and surroundings look amazing. And I'm looking forward to hearing more about workshops! Take a hot bath and get a massage every once in awhile to help with the aches and pains :)

Jamie Vowell

Nina - this is joyous news, indeed! I am so very happy for you! It is the perfect time for a move! I can't wait to hear what you have in store, and I'm looking forward to your workshops. I know I will attend! So excited for you...and Walter! Hugs to you! Jamie V in MT

Marti C.

How wonderful, a change and it sounds like a great one! Blessings to you and yours, will be waiting to read more and to catch up on your move!

MaggieD (Dianne)

The cabin looks wonderful!! I think of you often.. and I am sending good wishes ... New beginnings, yet with a family history.. how wonderful is that????? Namaste..

Baaabe, True Stu-Di-O! A home to call your own! I Love 'Mom' (Elizabeth), and I love you!
Let's get this Kickstarter party going!

Deborah Guthrie

I got so excited reading about your move. Sounds like a lot of work but wonderful work with a wonderful end result. I'm in the process of moving my studio from an upstairs bedroom to a room on the back split part of our house and I'm overwhelmed and finding it so much work so your move is helping me put it all in perspective. I gain only inches really with this move but still it's a good idea for location and for my instructing that I hope to do more of. I have a wee uninteresting home that I think of as a castle because of all the treasures and delights it holds. You will be getting castle inside and out so the best of luck with all of that

Lisa M.

I am SO happy for you!!! I know how hard it is for us Libra's to shake it up and make major moves. Nothing but good vibes coming your way. Wishing for you a smooth move and joyous adventures ahead. I cannot wait till you have your classes set up:). I'm betting your going be booked years out!!! Much love, Seaglass Lisa

Hello Nina,
I've just started reading your blog, but I have been an admirer for quite awhile. I'm holding out good thoughts for your move. I know how hard it must be. I wish I lived closer. I would love to help you and also be able to take a class from you. We share alot of the same feelings and it really helps me to know I'm not alone in them. Good luck to you. Can't wait to see your new home and studio when you're finished.

Big changes ahead, but exciting ones too! What a lovely place that cabin looks to be. :-)

If I were closer I'd love to help you move. I've moved a lot in my lifetime and have gotten to be pretty efficient at it. lol

When the time comes, if there is any place to stay near the cabin, I'd love to take a workshop in your new digs! I've longed to take a a workshop w/ Nina Bagley for years.

A Facebook User

Oh my, it all sounds so right. I was quietly waiting to see what you were up to...your words implied changes ahead. Can't tell you how excited I am for you!
